Some more Dragon Nest love, as we feature one of my favorite mascot-type characters, the robotic companion of the Academics, the Quackum. We were playing Legend of Grimrock at the time and were having fun with having our quackum Wobbles take up the role of thief in this old school dungeon crawler. Sometimes the most fun in games comes from your own imagination!

Legend of Grimrock linked here is an indie-developed first person dungeon crawling RPG that pays homage to older computer games that used to be popular in this style. You are stuck in a grid based dungeon which you have to navigate out of (sometimes through drawing your own map), figuring out puzzles, finding secrets, fighting enemies and leveling up along the way. It is usually a bit sparse on story in favor of character building DND style with stat and skill builds based on a variety of races and classes. One of the cool aspects of LoG specifically is it allowing you to import your own images into the character creation, allowing you to insert silly characters as your crew, which for us was Wobbles, our assassin duck! XD

Other great examples of this kind of game are the Etrian Odyssey games for the DS (1-3) and 3DS (4); the latter of which I highly recommend!
