I've been wanting to try the sonic adventure/channel style since I was young and finally I think I know how to do it
It's good for a first attempt I think :3
Also Jupiter is my hardest character to draw, and I don't know what quils I want to give her... her design might change a few times.

The shading and lighting does make me think of the well-known SA style! It is a good attempt into the style, and I believe you can make them feel closer to the SA style by drawing them in dynamic, bone-breaking poses. xD
On another note, I feel your pain towards drawing hedgehog spines so much x'D It's so hard to give them one when a lot of quill styles have been tried over the years... still, it wouldn't hurt to try out different quill styles until one sticks. :'D

I feel that with hedgehog quills, it's important to know the shape of the character's head, so that you would be able to plan out which quills go in what direction :'D Since her name is Jupiter, may I suggest that the quills on the top of her head is shaped like a simple crown? You know, sorta like Silver's "fringe"?
