After watching Season 2 and in particular the episode "The Gambler", I realized Smokescreen is probably the worst role model possible for kids. He smokes, he has a gambling problem and what's worse is he gambles his friends away (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Perceptor and Inferno) and feels that there is no problem with this. I had been dying to make a comic about this.I figured he'd also be one of the few Autobots that would always be doubted in some form. As far as the CiD storyline goes, he is the only Autobot that has seen Devcon. (Which I borrowed from the original G1 cartoon) But none of the Autobots believe him.

Smokescreen should join a support group, but he'd convince them that he doesn't have a problem.
Grimlock, Blades, Cliffjumper,Slag, Snarl, Huffer, Gears, Slingshot, and especially Sunstreaker would make even worse role models.

Sometimes you have to do what you have to do in order to save lives, and he did, even if it wasn't a nice thing to do, it got results.
The rulebook for being a good guy is never as clear cut as we're led to believe.

I always wondered about taht too when I saw the Gambler. I don't know if I would like it if I was gambled off like that. I guess since Optimus never said anything in the cartoon . . . well you made some excellant points I never thought of.

Smokescreen is pretty interesting. I'm glad he got screentime in that one ep and I like that you kept him as the only A-bot who knows about Devcon. It's nice to see that you're using some of the lesser used characters in the CiD

Yes, that was part of my original idea for the site, I'd give the lesser known robots some screentime. Also it makes it easier to write for them because you can kind of take the character traits you know and run with it.
