Literally everything I do is in pen. I never like drawing with pencils because I either have to sharpen them a ton so the line thickness is the same and everything is consistent or use a mechanical pencil which I don't like either.

Yeah....I learn to live with it, and I just pseudo trace to get my better drawings. Its a really weird way of doing things, but its how I do it ponyshrug.jpg

Pseudotrace?..., is that when you copy a reference but without any grids or anything?
I used to do that a lot for entire pictures because i was bored got a stack of papers that are basically just screenshots of things converted into pencil
Used to copy them off a tiny mp3 player screen onto A4 paper

(and i just realised i'm talking about myself in someone elses comments..., maybe i shouldn't be doing that )

XD I guess. Its basically me having a piece of paper on top of what I already have and then going over the entire thing and refining things. Its a really odd way of doing art I guess, but it works. 

I had to do it over 5 times for the Rainbow Dash piece I made for Soarin.

Basically, yeah. It also  helps me refine a piece without having so many eraser marks that its blurry.
