Well, yet ANOTHER redesign of my girl, who is now a hybrid. I know, at first she wasn't even going to be anyone, but I liked her too much. BUT I also said I didn't want just another OC so I decided to just give Mimi an upgrade. I was planning on it, either way. Most of her backstory will remain the same except for a few things. (Also, this is a censored version, since I wasn't planning on actually working on her as much as I did lol so you know where to find the original.)

Mimi is a quiet girl with a whispery voice, but when she gets annoyed she can raise it and make it sound menacing. She inherited her family's private library, but with time she has turned it into a public one where people can come and drop off their unwanted books. Mimi has a special talent that allows her to bring damaged books back into their former glory. She has also learned a lot of lost languages, so there are times where she is called by important people all over the world so she can help translate artifacts for them.

Long ago, there were two sisters who lived in a big, beautiful mansion: Minette and Miel. They weren't biological sisters, a couple with children of their own fell in love and so they became step-sisters. Of course, they didn't see each other like that. To each other, they were their very own 'real' sister, even if they weren't the same species. A pretty ram, and a cute moth, both equally fluffy. Sometimes, they would have wished to have had a normal upbringing; one with lots of trees to climb and friends to play with, but their family's wealth and status didn't allow it.

Their parents were owners of a nuclear plant back when it was a new and exciting thing. People were welcome to visit and see the incredible architecture, but no one was allowed to enter the actual plant. With time, other plants opened but couldn't keep up with this one. There was one, though, that rose up quite quickly, but it was corrupted. One evening, someone snuck into the nuclear reactors of her parents' plant and sabotaged the data, causing it to override and explode. There were a couple of people still nearby, including an 8 year old and the girls, who were both even closer to the incident. They were still inside the protective bubble-like field that surrounded the plant, so the damage was... not too great to the surroundings. Everything happened in a literal flash, and so nothing could be really done to save the sisters' lives; at least not individually.

A being of pure light had appeared before them and their parents as they were mourning the loss of their girls. They were told they could both be saved with the remaining energy they both had, but that they wouldn't be the same. Or it wasn't going to be 'they', and rather 'her'. The devastated parents agreed, and they would pay anything to have this done, but before they could finish the sentence the being was gone in an instant after a brief, blinding shine. Before them laid not their daughters, rather a strange creature, seemingly a mix of both of the sisters. As time went by, it was as if both of their memories had combined, didn't remember even being a separate consciousness. The parents weren't sure about how to feel, they even tried telling her what had happened, but she didn't understand any of it, so they gave up trying to make her comprehend. In the end, they decided to rename her Mimi, since both of the girls' names started with 'mi'.

Time had passed, her parents went into a long period of time hidden in their own home, depressed and weak. They knew it wasn't their fault, everyone did, but they still felt guilty for ruining the little girl's life. Mimi didn't turn out as badly as the kid, given her whole situation, but it also made her more sensitive to sunlight. Eventually, her parents both passed away from malnutrition, and she was left alone in the huge mansion. She had people taking care of her day and night, doctors, nurses, maids, cooks, and everything. All she could really do on her own was take care of the library, which was separate from her house.

People visit a lot, which makes her very happy. Her more frequent visitors are quite unusual, ranging from a blind rabbit to a nice demon. They all share a lot of stories, and Mimi enjoys learning things, storing the tales in her own library. There are people who don't really like to speak to her for long because her eyes make them feel uneasy. She doesn't really care, because it helps her quiet down the noisy people that come in.
