It's been going fine for the most part, but every time I have to depict a war/battle I get stuck in it for some days.
Then I go searching similar events to what I have in my head and try to depict them while changing it to best fit the history.
I'm also having trouble in keeping it short/simple, if I don't watch myself i put a fuckton of unnecessary information in it

I know the feeling. I am writing up a kaiserreich campaign...chronicle thing? i did with a few friends and i am trying to stop it becoming too long. I was playing russia.

Russia national focuses and events are fucking massive, I think that even if you try to keep it short it will still be a lot

Well i've simplified some bits (if you want to see a long one i have a ck2 thing in my gallery that is basically over a few hundreds years of history condensed down, i also forgot to take notes for most of it so only the tail end is recorded). I did crown the tsar so i have to find an in universe way of explaining it. So how did it happen beyond 'i pressed the focus and it took 70 days.' So i've had to create a subplot where wrangel (the guy i chose after kerensky died) and dimitri romanov and others basically manage to swing it that they get the rightful tsar crowned.
The game is proving to be fun as i managed to take back all but the european territory of russia (basically anything west of the ukraine). And i avoided civil war...somehow. And i have the largest army in the world too...not that everyone has a rifle. XD
