Skimming through the Artists in the Making deviations, this one particularly caught me. It's difficult to tell if it's drawn or photographed. If it's drawn, congratu-freakin-lations because this is absolutely amazingly done. If it's photographed, the aperture, angling, and colors in this are absolutely spectacular. The flowers, the grass, the boy in the middle. I would legitimately want to hang this up in my house. It's blurred and focused in all the right places, every detail adds to this picture, rather than makes it feel cluttered (which is exceedingly difficult in a field shot such as this). Overall, amazing job with this, whether it's real or a portrait. I really look forward to seeing what else you have to post.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful critique. It is actually a photograph but is one of my favorites. I'm definitely an amature but every now and then I get one I'm really proud of.

It is certainly something I think you should be proud of. And even as an amateur, your other work is amazing. I have to ask, how much do your post process each picture, besides black and white filtering on some of them?

Thank you very much!

A lot of them I only straighten and/or crop. Maybe 20-25 percent are post processed? And even that is typically only a filter click. I only use things like healing tools or clone stamps once in awhile because I'm not very good at it, lol.

First let me say sorry for taking a long time to submit a critique to this picture you have of a small child picking wild flowers in an open field. Next I like how you have your focus on the subject along with the flowers the child is picking. I also like how the small child is hold flowers in one arm while picking another flower with the other hand. I see nothing wrong with this picture you have token. Keep up the awesome job that you do with your photography work. I thank you for asking me to submit a critique to this picture of a small child picking a dozen of wild flowers.
