From what country is that car? The license plate looks quite Portuguese!

It's from the Netherlands. Normally Dutch cars hve yellow plates, but classic cars made before 1972 have grey plates like this.

Ahh, I see! The old Portuguese License plates had the same aspect, hence why having caught my attention. Here's an image that you can see: [link]

Later more, license plates had the same words and numbers order like "AB-12-34" but with a white background color and a "P" with a blue background and the stars of the EU flag.

And now they have all the colors like that, but the numbers and words are like this: "12-AB-34".

The system of Dutch numberplates look almost the same as Portugese.
In the early days we had combinations of two numbers and one word, like this photo.
Since the beginning of the 80's we have combinations of two words and 1 number, like this: [link]
Now the numberplates are totally different, still yellow, but other combinations, like this: [link]
