Description There was never a time when he didn‘t seem tired. Perhaps, the foxes from neighbouring territories thought, it was because he slept under that pine tree instead of finding a nice warm, dry earth. When they asked, and he was in an amenable mood, he sometimes said it had something to do with the smell of the tree, or that he liked to see the stars. The truth was that he couldn’t sleep in an earth. Not that he hadn’t tried. Constant restlessness, random awakenings and unpleasant dreams all plagued him when he went to ground. No, his tree was fine.

I like the picture and I definitly love this fox character, because he`s sleeping under the stars and trees, for me that expresses freedom and living instead of "sleeping under earth", even if that`s a normal attitude for animals. He also is a nice character because of his fur...especially the "mask" on his face-fur. I wonder if he looks so sad only because he seems o be tired all the time.
