Description
Freiwirtschaft was an economic and political concept developed by Silvio Gesell a German-Argentinian businessman and farmer which was largely based on Georgism or rather served as its further extension. Just as with Georgism supporters of the FW or "Free Economy" if translated directly wanted to establish a "land tax" arguing that land/nature is not human made and therefore should be socially owned and those using it should pay a tax for it on fixed terms calculated by analyzing the natural value of the land used. They also opposed the gold standard contrary to more right leaning liberals and wanted to establish a currency called "Freigeld" that would expire after several uses hoping inflation could be avoided this way. Their ideas were known in Weimar Germany but they failed to draw attention from any of the major parties and the Freie Soziale Union / free Social Union finally was banned after the economists of the NSDAP also deemed them unworthy. I myself think they had an interesting concept that was neither Socialist (in both a Marxian or Non-Marxian sense) but also not entirely Liberal (though they supported free markets but more like Proudhon did whomst inspired George back in the day).

And well to explain the FFF it stands for "Free Trade, Free Land and Free Men" for Georgists and "Freigeld, Freiland, Festwährung / Freemoney, Freeland and Stable Currency" in the German version.

I noticed that today this shortcut is being used for Greta Thunberg's tryhard-teenage liberal environemntalist movement though so I made this meme of it on a whim rofl.

Note: I neither am an advocate of Freiwirtschaft nor do I deny shitting up the climate and nature are serious issues (I merely think Greta's bruhs just act laughably most of the time and are braindead from liberal ideology. Lmao.)
