In today's episode we have an ancient-as-hell painting of Mr. Blue, a member of the stubbornly esoteric band, The Residents. I was way into this band a while back (still have a soft spot for them) and so I did a painting of Mr. Blue.

So yeah... They keep their identities a secret (over 30 years of being a band and to this day nobody knows who they really are) so when they perform, they wear tuxedos and giant eyeball masks with top hats. The words in the background are lyrics from their song "Constantinople."


I want to be a Resident for Halloween.

the residents are the best, but only special people "get" them. my best friend was Mr. Blue for halloween and there is a picture on his site. [link] it is in his gallery

That's so cool! I've always wanted to make a Residents mask, but I suck at sculpting and papier mache and the like.
