Description Raptor quadrispider
Quadriragno rapace
Prosonuchus absconditus

A close parent of the crusader quadrispider; it has a front leg specialized into a grasping appendage and a shell suitable for hiding in the spongegrass.

Β«The raptor quadrispider (Prosonychus absconditus), another sample of the diversity of quadrispiders. It has given up the four-fold symmetry of its ancestors, developing one of the legs into a specialized grasping appendage, and its grooved dorsal shell secretes nutrients that help spongegrass to grow on the top of it. About as large as a rabbit, it lies among the spongegrass waiting for a prey to get close to it.Β»
