Love the colors, shading and details. A right proper fellow here. I take it that his lantern is powered by whatever is in the glass phial.

Personally I prefer the gnome look of 3rd edition. Don't really like the long ears, square-like forehead and overly sized arms and hands. Other than that it looks good.

I would agree. Great art, but when I look at this I think "claymation" more than "yeah, I could see that". I don't think there has to be "tinker" necessarily -- pre-Dragonlance I never thought of gnomes like that. I like to think of the gnome as more of the mischievous trickster and illusionist type.

The art is somewhat stylized with big hands and heads, that's fine. I quite enjoy the art style. It's a very nice direction for the new edition

Some of the proportions seem off here. When I see this, I don't think gnome.
I may be biased, but I would rather gnomes be tinkers. Barring that, I really like the 4e gnome look. This seems more...generic.
Again, art isn't bad. Just doesn't match my own perceptions and tastes.
