If you could tell me how you did the grey fatigues on my guardsmen, i'd bow to see as a God because that's a perfect tone and shade I was looking for on mine

The highlighting here is some of the best subtle highlights I've yet seen.
The face is damn-near perfect as well.

I bow before your painty-ness

i too am a fan of the subtle shading/highlighting, I feel it makes everything look more realistic. But of course if you're just doing it for tabletop gaming, the more extreme highlights are useful, since nobody will be staring at your army up close.
