So!Β This is a (extraordinarily belated) birthday gift for my friend, elyonblade. He requested Applejack and Crysialis doing something, so why not show Applejack doing what she does best by wraggling some changelings?

(Chrysalis grabs a nearby Changeling bystander with her magic and moves him into the path of Twilight's spell)

[The spell fire screams towards the two Changelings, only to suddenly WEAVE around the bystander Changeling the Queen was using as a shield, and hit Chrysalis dead on]
"No! It can't be! NONONO It isn't fair! IT ISN'T - "
[Chrysalis disappears in a blast of magical light]Β

Chrysalis: I cant die

PUPA and POMF: MOMMY!!!! NO!!!! YOU MONSTER!!!! *They Tackles Twilight*

[And as Chrysalis is literally vaporized, her now-nonexistent magical hold on her would-be meat shield winks out, and the Changeling drops to the ground. He quakes in fear and shocked relief, tears running down his chitinous muzzle.]
"I'm alive...I'm alive...oh Sweet Fires of Tartarus, I'm alive--
thank you, Element of Magic. That spell would have ripped right through me...but, why did you spare me? Why not let the spell keep going?"

"I won't, and never will, pin the sins of your leader on your entire species, and I have no right to judge those who are mere victims of their own nature."

"But...The Wedding, those three fillies, Manehatten! After all we've done to you, to Equestria, how can you think *you* have no right to judge us?! Why not look for revenge, blood for blood?
You killed the Queen while looking her in the eyes...how can you not hate the rest of us?"
[The young Changeling is shaking by now, both in terror of the mare before him and her Queen-killing power, and...confusion. He'd always been taught that mercy would never be granted to Changelings, least of all a mere worker drone like him...and yet his life was saved by none other than the Queen's greatest foe.]

"Because your hive was starving, and the queen used it as an excuse to rein you all in line with her plan to conquer us so she could drain all the love to power herself, she never told you we're willing to help you if your kind only asked. Granted, I did felt... anger, hatred, for Changelings for a while after the invasion." *Sigh* "But in the end... I realize there's no point to it, and hatred would take me places where I could sink just as low as your queen, if not worse. Plus, we didn't want the Windigoes coming back now, do we?"

[he dips his head, then shakily trots away, leaving Twilight with her friends. It isn't long before Applejack trots up, smiling]
"Ya did it, Twilight. That so-called Queen is gone fer good...and Ah think ya just started a peace treaty. But fer now, let's all go home."
