Description Added grandparents' place on the other side of the pasture (trailer is on their property - a former farmhand cottage).

Started looking seriously at where my story would start (don't have a story yet, but have lots of ideas and some are semi-stable). The character would have spent most of his early life in Paradise, a nice little agricultural valley with close ties to the magic city of Maltese. Paradise remains relatively low population and undeveloped because of a cycle where technology stops working for 2 weeks out of every 4 (magic also stops but staged off by a week so in every 4 weeks there is 1 where neither work, 1 where booth work, and 1 each where one works but the other doesn't, locally the effect is treated like moon phases New/Dead - nothing, Waxing - magic but not tech, Full - both work, Waning - tech works but magic doesn't). The loss of magic has pretty much no effect on the locals, and wizard would just move away to a place magic works all the time but it will impact the main character.

While the big corporations could exploit the area for agriculture the on-again off-again technology makes it not worth investing in so the locals have a relatively peaceful existence. Windmills are used to pump water when technology doesn't work and to run generators when it does, most of the houses have modern amenities but also have some sort of old fashioned backups. A highway runs through Paradise but cars only work part of the time so the train is the more reliable travel method (the steam engine works when technology fails though some primitive seeming technology like guns and propane lamps/tools fail to work).

The Prairie Setting is from Daz and Kindred Arts, it isn't cheap but I'm getting a lot of use out of it and it is a very large set (I put several full size buildings on it and it still looks like mostly open space), though the rolling hills make accurate building placement difficult and some of my renders were just to see if a building was floating above the surface. I did several renders building up the area and changing the interior of the trailer to fit the current setting for how Paradise works. The interior bits come from a few different sets and I used an old railroad set I'm having trouble finding again for the windmill, water tower, and some other outer buildings.

The trailer is one I've used many times already though I ended up modifying it a bit more by the end, it is also on the Daz store from GeeSee3D:
