Description Oops, I roo'd.

I love me some classic games. And I love me some classic video game character designs. Maybe it's because of the lower budgets and how cartoonish they could be... But damn are some of them great. Crash, Spyro, Croc. The list kinda goes on.

So this is a drawing of Ripper Roo.

Crash Bandicoot and all characters from it belong to Activison. (I think. The IP swapped so many hands it's hard to tell.)

EDIT: Ripper Roo tended to get a bit lost in the Background. So I added a border so he'd stand out more.

This is pretty cool. xD Another one of my favourites.
I used him in CTR a lot as well as Komodo Joe. <3

If this is practice for drawing characters with odd proportions or in strange positions then it is well done. I struggle to find faults. The teeth and tongue are excellent, the eyes are spot on, and every thing about him just says Crazy. The thick black lines that separate the character form the background are an impotent yet often overlooked detail. The only criticism I have is the small scope of the drawing. I don't feel you pushing yourself artistically. I think he is part of crash Bandicoot driving. Perhaps drawing the character driving a go cart is the next level you need to work at. All in all, a good piece.

Actually, he's from Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2. He's only the first boss in Crash Team Racing, and an unlockable character in the others. If I put him in a cart, I feel that would have limited him only to how he appears in CTR. That's why I gave him the TNT backdrop. Because in all his appearances, he uses TNT and Nitro Crates as his weapons. Which I feel are more true to his character.
Though you raise a good point in how it's only a portrait picture. In hindsight, I could have had him acting with a TNT crate.
