Description
In Porphyry Island Bay there is a boiler from the fishing boat "Grebe" Built in 1900 the Grebe was both a fishing boat and a supply ship for the Porphyry Island lighthouse station until the wooden tug burned sometime in the mid 20th century.

In 2023 this is all that remains. In 1974 someone marked the water level because someone had predicted that Lake Superior would see a drop in the water levels, at least that's what I was told.
