"I'm the frontline!" XD
What's that writing on the cloth strips on John's armor?

Let me guess, there's an Unrelenting Force coming up?

And Adrienne, get yourself into an inn.

I like the how John describes all the things while he's in charge. I can imagine my Dragonborn in that role.
Also, nice touch with that AI stuff.
The only thing that somehow bothers me is Tullius's armor. Imperial Officers in the cities used to wear just heavy Imperial armor and that golden armor's something for the generals only.

Well He is the dragonborn so I'm sure they didn't mind bending the rules a bit.

That's what the Dragonborns do all the time, isn't it?

I'm sure that Ulfberth can just ram the door down, just as any true Nord would do.

Yes, one Nord picks up another one and wackes the door until it breaks, typically while shouting" For Skyrim!" Its a great honor

You'd think Balgruuf would let you know he picked a fight with Ulfric vbefore they were at the gates... sheesh, well what do you expect from the worst Jarl in Skyrim (even Elisif with her ignorance for Nord customs and traditions is a better Jarl than Balgruuf)

Haha! Yay for fourth wall jokes! I really like the look on his face.

I'm actually surprised John didn't lockpick the door to Warmaiden's so Adrianne and Ulfberth could be safe.

And I have to agree with John on the whole skirt thing. If there isn't something pant-like to cover the knees...

I dunno. Maybe they wanted to make it look more like armor from the Roman Empire? smh

And the part, when he changes back to his crimson ranger armor... hilarious! Zinnia did something similar as well. She strutted around in blue until the first arrow hit her, when she remembered to wear her proper armor (with enchantments and improved armor rating )

i'm surprised that Hadvar wasn't stripped of his rank and executed right there for mentioning the nine instead of the eight

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

megafish3 In reply to Garchompisbeast [2014-04-08 21:21:53 +0000 UTC]

Because the empire doesn't care if people worship all nine like its mentioned in the game before ulfrics uprising the empire never enforced the ban of talos, plus in the game Hadvars shouts out by the nine in front of everyone, nothing happened to him and also Rikke says "talos guide you" to ulfric and Tullius does nothing.

Garchompisbeast In reply to megafish3 [2014-04-08 22:46:47 +0000 UTC]

Tullius basically tells her to shut up with the sharp "what was that Legate?" plus Tullius doesn't worship Talos, he knows nothing about him or Nord culture

and Ulfric rebelled after the Talos ban, he was proud legionnaire before the ban

Nayrael In reply to Garchompisbeast [2014-06-08 23:37:58 +0000 UTC]

Actually, Tullius DOES worship Talos. In case you meet him at the Thalmor party, he gets drunk and mentions his high displeasure at the Talos ban. As a matter of fact, Talos was worshiped by the Empire since the start of the Third Era while the Nords started worshiping him somewhere in last 200 years (before that they only revered him as a Hero Figure and were often in conflict with the Empire due to Imperials disliking the Nords not honoring him enough... the irony is glorious here XD) so you can bet that most of the Legion still worships him.

Don't know about the Emperor. He seems to worship Boethiah, but that may just be a political gain.

TlhTheHedgehog In reply to Nayrael [2017-07-08 00:44:44 +0000 UTC]

There's no irony in that. Talos always been one of the most important divines of Imperial pantheon and culture, still is. (But i find Shezarr is more important and major god not only because he's the human god of the Imperials but also Talos is a form of three mortal human souls gathered together.) Just because some throne loving invader banned him from worshipping, you can't blame it on the entire Empire. Labeling Imperials "faithless" has no weight since it's part of their own pantheon. Thalmor doesen't even care Talos is being worshipped or not. They're using him as excuse tool for antagonizing people against the empire, and it seems it's working perfectly fine. As long as the war between human races continue, there's no problem for them.

megafish3 In reply to Garchompisbeast [2014-04-09 02:47:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah he says that in a way to tell her to watch where she says it unlike what you say of being executed on the spot for saying it. im pretty sure tullius know plenty seeing that talos/tiber septim created the empire he fight for. nords are not the only ones who worship him you know.

Ok and what ulfric being in the empire got to do with the empire not enforcing the ban, it wasn't truly enforced until the markarth incident.

Garchompisbeast In reply to megafish3 [2014-04-09 09:45:59 +0000 UTC]

Ulfric was a Legionaire until the Markarth incident, he only defected after the ban was fully enforced to the point that shrines were torn down and people were arrested and executed for openly worshiping Talos

Ulfric never defected, he remains devoted to his country and cause.
I think Alvor of Riverwood says it best;

"The Empire started cracking down, dragging people from their homes in the middle of the night, if you asked me it's one of the main reasons the war started at all"

it was what started the civil war as it sparked the rebellion

theBEARDEDcanuck In reply to Garchompisbeast [2014-04-09 20:40:51 +0000 UTC]

Still, I'd hardly call it defecting unless you consider Skyrim and it's people enemies of the empire... and if that's the case then his fighting for the legion was defecting from his home country.

After the battle of Markarth when the Markarth incident occurred (the incident being the imperial betrayal of Ulfric and his men as ordered by the thalmor who showed up in force as soon as the city was liberated), jarl Hrolfdir turned on Ulfric and aided in the capture of him, he then spent an undisclosed amount of time in prison (being in Markarth it's reasonable to assume it was Cidhna mine), after his release he returned to Windhelm to pay his respects to his father who died during his incarceration, the people called for him to lead them as Jarl and one of his first actions as jarl was the reinstating of free Talos worship in his hold, that was the rebellion, the civil war was caused by retaliation to imperial attacks against the people, mostly in Eastmarch trying to enforce the White-Gold Concordat upon the people, this act only brought more to the cause.

In short, yes, Ulfric Started the rebellion, but the empire started the civil war -'J

"The truth points to itself"
It seems like an appropriate place to make such comments... for some reason it brings to mind the civil war between Skyrim and the blood thirsty oppressors of the people in the service to the thalmor AKA the Empire -'J

megafish3 In reply to Garchompisbeast [2014-04-09 13:51:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah fully enforced because of his actions.

Garchompisbeast In reply to megafish3 [2014-04-09 15:11:29 +0000 UTC]

Ulfric swore to the Emperor he would fight for the Empire as long as Talos worship remained a legal right of the Nords, the Markarth incident happened, the Thalmor snapped their fingers and the Emperor made Talos worship a capital offense to please his Elven masters thus causing the Stormcloak rebellion

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Nayrael In reply to Garchompisbeast [2014-06-08 23:43:28 +0000 UTC]

The Thalmor dossiers tells a different story: he helped the Thalmor until the incident earned him enough reputation and men to break all contact with them without having to fear for his safety. Funnily, the Thalmor still treats him as a possible ally (whereas they see the Empire as an inevitable enemy) and I doubt that he is unaware of how Thalmor funds and arms his rebellion.

I really doubt that he was a proud legionnaire or that he is a proud Nord. He seems more of an opportunist with a high PTSD.

megafish3 In reply to Garchompisbeast [2014-04-09 16:39:47 +0000 UTC]

The jarl of markarth promised to worship of talos not the empire but the empire had no choice to agree because of the chaos going on in markarth, and then the thalmor found out and to not start a war what they were not ready for they arrested ulfric.
