Always has been. They always choose plants/animals over people. We are to blame for all animal suffering and all damage to the environment. Man is a parasite on dear Gaia.

I support a smaller government and less limitations on personal freedom. Sure, I don't follow the neo-con point of view but truly I'm more conservative than liberal.
Neo-cons are not cons. They support huge governments, high taxes, over-imperialistic foreign policy, and heavy limitations on personal freedom.

Er..that article doesn't say anything about what you described...the closest thing I found were a group of crazies who climbed the tree and refused to budge when one was gonna be cut down...I read nothing about an organized memorial or funeral service for the tree done by the city...if you're going to cite a source, it should probably at least mention whatever it is you're trying to prove...but gg anyways I guess

The memorial service is never arranged by the city, it is arranged by the grassroots movements. It would be silly for the city to spend money on something like that.
"The group of crazies" were protesting 40 trees being cut down, not one. I suggest you work on your reading comprehension.

Well, I only skimmed the whole thing, I didn't read it carefully, but I looked for a mention of a memorial service and didn't find such a thing at all. All I saw were that people are notified before they're cut down.
