Self portrait. I suck so badly at them. This was the only one that turned out. I have no clue how some of the most famous people on this website can do it. And just seeing all of those shitty pictures of myself makes me feel even worse than I did before about how I look.I am so jealous of those of you.
My roots are pretty bad here.
Taken at about 7 am... to get the sun rising behind me to find out that the spot my friend told me about has the sun rising from in front and there's all houses there...

I get what you mean - I always take about a HUNDRED photos of myself and in the end I have only ONE (heavily photoshopped) portrait that doesn't entirely suck

Nah, I still think that one of you on the rooftop is stunning.
All I know is that there are so many people on dA who can
continually take such stunning pictures of themselves that
aren't so bland. I still don't think my photos tell a good enough
story. They feel so... dry to me. :\ But thanks again.

Well, this could very well be a scene from a book, just like many other photos in your gallery. It's like you create a different character for every picture. That is one of the things I really like about your work

Everyone can technically be better, but that's because no one will ever be perfect. I think as long as you keep working on it, talk to other photographers, and are open to learning new ideas and tricks, you'll do just fine. It's very clear you have talent, all you need is some time and practice.
