After the reunion, Littlefoot and Ariel were having more of a discussion.

Ariel: We really need you and your friends at home.

Littlefoot: But Ariel, Chomper's mom and dad told us to stay here where we can be safe.

Ariel: Yes I know that. But there are times you need to return, you're the rightful heir.

Littlefoot: Ariel, they'll kill us if we go back. We need to let them continue think that we're gong.

Ariel: Littlefoot, Ratcliffe and the sharpteeth are making them suffer more than ever.

Littlefoot: What?

Ariel: And the valley became so gloomy and glum. Everyone was being miserable. There's still some water to drink but there's barely enough vegetation to eat. Even worse, their forcing Attina, my older sister, into becoming Ratcliffe's queen, and they also banished me from my family for rejecting them. If you don't do something soon, everyone will be having lots of bad luck.

Littlefoot: But we can't go back. It may not change anything.

Ariel looked the upset and sad look on Littlefoot's face. She embraced him to comfort him.

Ariel: I know it's hard, Littlefoot. But we need to make the hard choices for those who love you. I'll give you some time to think it over. (She kissed him and walked out.)

Belle, the servants, and also Littlefoot's friends had watched the whole thing. What will they do anyway?

Cera: We'll just give him some time alone. We don't want to make it harder for him.
