This is page three of Pulp Future, the post-apocalyptic comic we're currently working on.Working on these guys' faces has been an interesting challenge, as was figuring out how to make the scanner work. The speech bubbles are good fun.
These little guys are Omnimart robots, programmed and designed to act as "Greeters". The stationary model previously observed at the door is a much earlier and simpler model. The robot you see before you is multipurpose. It greets customers, informs them of current events in savings and deals, escorts them to the door (in case they lose their way or stray towards a competitor's store), and will even help carry groceries.
It can even function as a small security hub, as it is capable of identifying, memorizing, and recognizing human facial features, and has a heck of a grip on it.
It's a little bit manic, as it hasn't seen a human in quite some time.
It is extremely excited.
