One of the pics from our Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni costume!!we wore it on the last day of the con which was quite nice.. the hairstyles of the wigs were done differently from the original art due to the lack of time we had but tI think they turned out pretty good! the pictures were taken outside the hotel.

I disagree completely with the person who said you shouldn't play characters that don't match your body size. No ones eyes are half the size of their face either; should no one do cosplay then? Cosplay is for personal pleasure. The only consideration anyone should make is "Am I going to enjoy wearing this?" People don't have to think someone looks good - some clothes just look better on one body shape than another - but that still doesn't give anyone the right to tell people not to wear any costume they want. You look absolutely gorgeous anyway! You have a lovely, curvaceous figure and that is simply an adaptation to the character's cuteness.

I also want to say that curvy girls should do whatever they want, some people just aren't used to change so sometimes they don't perceive as a good thing. I'm glad there are people like you that support and motivate women to feel good about themselves!^^

Hey, I'm all for women wanting "to feel good about themselves" by wearing sexy cosplay! 
Not many girls naturally have the idealised skinny-yet-bosomy body shape of most manga & game characters. Those born lucky will of course look most like those characters and if they've got decent costumes they'll be the ones who become cosplay models, but that's not what it's about, is it? It's about enjoying what YOU do and sharing that enjoyment with others who are enjoying what they've done, isn't it?
Posting a picture on here is inviting comment, but that should be about the costume, not personal remarks about the cosplayer. Even if I thought someone actually looked BAD in a costume I'd have the good grace to keep my opinion to myself, unless they specifically asked me, in which case I'd be as honest and constructive as possible.
I'm average height and build, but if I liked a costume of a character who was tall and thin which I thought could still look good on me I wouldn't expect to get hassle about not being the right height, I'd just accept I'm not going to win any prizes for looking most like that character.
And I say again, you have a lovely figure - certainly not "curvy" in the politely euphemistic sense of "overweight" - and you look fantastic in your costumes and I look forward to seeing what you do in the future.

I'm not sure if your body suits the character since most of the characters in Higurashi are as thin as pencil.

Then your friend could have chosen a different person to cosplay as. So far, when cosplaying, you need to have the right body for it or you might end up on ED for it. You can't just cosplay because you like the character or things like that, body is one of the important things to remember when choosing a character to cosplay as. Sure there are some limits on who you can cosplay as, but there are some characters that people might not expect! You can Wow! them for being something they don't see! For me, I want to see someone cosplay as Killer Bee when I go to an anime convention! Or maybe someone cosplay as Chouji or anything like that.
