Description
I took a class about rendering algorithms this quarter where we basically coded a ray tracer during the 10 weeks. This is definitely one of the best courses I've taken here. I learned so much and it was a lot of fun!

The final project was to implement some cool additional features to our code and create an awesome image in one week. I chose to do a pillar of water hitting a lake.
For this scene I implemented:
- Photon mapping for the caustics under the water.
- Fresnel for the water
- Environment mapping
- Depth of field
- and antialiasing with supersampling

I was planning on implementing a few more algorithms as well but I ran out of time :c I'm certainly going to work on this during the summer though, and try to create some more cool images

I made the model in Blender. It was my first time making a model but there are so many fluid simulation tutorials out there so it wasn't that hard to learn.

Also, this is my 200th deviation
