Here is a picture that I did as part of an art trade for my good friend : A picture of my original character, Whitnee Squirrel, spending time with his original character, Margo Bunny, by playing video games together. I was in the mood for doing a quick art trade with my friend not too ago, and I was more than willing to draw a picture that would involve Whitnee and Margo doing something together, especially since they've always been a couple of cute-looking anthro characters that I like to draw as well. For this picture I've done, I decided to draw Margo as a teenager/adult for such a picture, and I was able to draw her and Whitnee playing games on the Nintendo 3DS, whichΒ MargoΒ would be able to bring over from her place before coming over to hang out with Whitnee. I also could not resist drawing both girls with socks on their feet, since I've always been a sucker for cute furry girls in socks as well. The picture turned out really nice after being completed, and I just know that my friend will love it no matter what.Whitnee Squirrel (c) Casey Decker

This is a very nice piece. I enjoy the characters expressions and the fact that they look natural doing everyday things. The proportions are nicely done and everything looks consistent, line work, coloring and style.
A few tips I can offer would be
Light source. Make sure that you know where the light is coming from. This looks ok, and quite frankly i struggle with it as well. Looking at this I think they are sitting right under the light, but there are certain spots where it looks like the light was shining towards the character. To correct this you could simply add an extra color, instead of using only 2 tones maybe use 3. for instance on the bunnies stomach, instead of the white maybe a lighter grey could help. something similar could be done on the pillows. This would also allow you to go darker in certain areas.
Negative space, I feel its a little bit too empty. Though that is just an opinion. If this was mine I might add a piece of furniture or even a photo on the wall. That would make it feel more like a home rather then a space.
The last thing I might recommend would be to have a look at animals and draw them a bit to get to know the facial shapes. Rabbits and squirrels don't have the same face structure. it would just help to further distinguish the characters and how they are different
Overall its very nice and pleasing to look at.

Only for curiosity, what game are they playing?

I actually have a Nintendo 2DS, which is an affordable version of the Nintendo 3DS that plays games in 2D only, but it's still fun to play nonetheless. In case you're wondering which game Whitnee and Margo are playing in this picture I've done, it could actually be any game that is played with more than one person, and there are quite a few titles I can think of as well.

Well, they could actually be playing something modern as long as it's something that I know is fun (such as any of the new PokΓ©mon games that have come out).
