GeneralI made this after seeing a photo manipulation tutorial in a book. I love how the horse came out, but I am not sure how I like the image as a whole. I made a version with only the horse, which I like better - fav.me/d33e7fh
Hopefully, I achieved something that is, if not totally original, than at least unusual.
ProcessI will just talk about the splatter paint. I painted black splatters using a down loaded brush (see the Stock section). I then used the transparency lock so that the shape would not changed when I used the clone brush. Painting the splatters were fairly time consuming.
Likes/DislikesLikes - the horse's splatters, the pose of the horse
Dislikes - I am mildly unsatisfied with everything else.

I suggest you work on manes and tails. If you don't have a tablet, you can set your mouse to fade on the shape dynamics. Choose different colors - mid tones, highlights, and shadows.

This is about the third time I tried to get it to work. It will be fine for a while and then break...
It is titled Splatter Brushes and by ~corelila . If you just type "splatter" into the search bar, it is the third to pop up.
