At first glance of the thumbnail I thought this was a photograph but now I can see it's a painting. I love how you've not '
The composition you've gone for works really well drawing the viewer deeper into the painting, although my eye tends to linger on the lantern seller because I just love the colours you've used and the lantern designs.
The whole piece works very well together and you should be really pleased with this even if it was only a 'quick' painting.

I am happy that the unfinished look actually worked.I tend to overwork stuff, which I tried hard not to do on this piece. i wanted to keep it fresh and vibrant, just like a market should be.
