It's not a horror movie, as in it is in no way scary. The scariest moment is when someone might drink a smoothie with blended-up spider in it. But it is a gross movie.
A bunch of spiders from another dimension come to Earth in meteors containing black hole portals that let out increasingly giant spiders, and a couple of middle-aged scientists and the sheriff (Hale) to stop the invasion.
Unfortunately for lovers of cinema or of feeling joy in their lives, the meteors land in the middle of Hicksville, Buttscratch County, Wisconsin. So for the first half of the movie, we're stuck with a family of disgusting hillbillies, because the spiders landed in their backyard.

It's one of my least favorite movies they've spoofed, too. I can sit through Manos: The Hands of Fate no problem. Starfighters is one of my favorite episodes. But Giant Spider Invasion is so disgusting, repulsive, and worst of all loaded with terrible comedy that not even Mike and the 'Bots can save it.
