Description     "Someone told us that we form a kind of a rainbow, yet sometimes this rainbow is hurt by people that don't like us and, instead of avoiding us, they try to hurt in many ways... And it's hard to survive without some spiritual wounds..."

Maybe you don't know, but I noticed that the gang forms somehow a rainbow. I added Jenny-Dee to complete this rainbow. But even that they are so colorful, they have a kind of a nostalgic/sad mood... (you know what I mean... hurt by bad people...). Maybe it's also because I listened to some DJ Project songs like "Miracle Love", "Mi-e dor de noi" or "Bun Rămas" (it's a musical Romanian group that worked with some Romanian women singers- I remember that Adela Popescu worked also as an actrice for some tv serials).

OK, maybe they will pour some tears here...

I hope this rainbow is not a subtle way of trying to say that all the characters in Scooby Doo are gay! As a child it was one of my absolute favourite cartoons and I would be distraught to learn that they were not all as they seemed!

Oh, no, I didn't mean that. I actually prefer to see the rainbow as a kind of a symbol of unity because the colors reunite into white light, turning into a whole. As for Scooby-Doo's gang (well, at least in my headcanon) is the same: they are best friends and together they form a whole, just like the colors of light. And the thing that they have the same colors as the rainbow is kind of a fun fact (except indigo, none of them has this color).

Well, I actually played with this concept of unity like on rainbow colors among these characers on sketches (that are unposted). I'll have to post some related art about this someday.

Some other people imagined some versions of them as being homosexual, there is some stuff in this site, too. But in original cartoons they weren't like this, for sure.

And sometimes I wonder why people chose the rainbow to represent homosexuality, I don't really know the reason. I know that the LGBTQ+ community uses the rainbow as one of its symbols (which I understand because this include a full spectrum of people with different sexual orientations and mentalities), but rainbow just for homosexuality?

P.S.: They are actually some of my favorite characters, too. (the white Great Dane however is a character of mine)

Phew, thank goodness for that!

Each to their own is my motto when it comes to people's sexual preferences and I have no problem with what they want to get up to in the privacy of their own homes, but I draw the line at changing much-loved cartoon characters. Far too radical an idea for an old codger like me to contemplate!

I think your Great Dane fits in really well, like a big unruly cousin to Scooby, and certainly far better than the awful Scrappy-Doo nephew that came along at the end of the 70s.

Well, people can have such an imagination that may cross beyond the normal limit sometimes.

Thank you. Well, I imagined Jennifer-Dee as Scooby's girlfriend (she's actually a very distant cousin from the family tree, so distant that their children won't have health issues - I thought about that because in the case of close relatives there will be consaguinity which results in many health issues for future children no matter what specie. The cousins may have children as long as they don't share as many similar genes as possible, so the more distant the better. I'm not talking about her personality, she's actually friendly. ).

Well, about Scrappy I know that the creators didn't make him very well. I actually like this puppy, but when it comes the personality I think the writers made quite many mistakes. My version of him is different, he's a friendly puppy and not as stubborn and annoying as how he was made (I have to mention that I didn't like how he was made in the comics - he looked like a spoiled child that even pounched some of his uncle's friends - I mean how can he hurt his friends?! This wasn't right at all).
