Wow. I with I could go there, it looks so nice. Although since I live in Hawaii, it's weird not seeing mountains.

Which island? I'd love to live there... love the tropics, and have been fascinated by Polynesian culture and history for decades...
I miss mountains, too! And the sea, and scenery that isn't FLAT...

I live on Oahu which is nice except for the humidity. This morning I went to go take a shower and my towels were damp. Β Overall it's a nice place and the nice thing is it's almost always sunny.

Which side of the island? I've only been on the Honolulu side... I'd love to visit the north side.
I've spent the most time in Kauai and on the big island β interestingly, I love the Hilo side (the rainy side) best, for its lushness.
Humidity β yuck. I'd spend all day in the water.

Lol I live in Southern California where weather and nature are basically non-existant. To put it in perspective, when we had a huge earthquake in the 90s, it knocked the power out and apparently people were calling 911 to report UFO sightings because they had never seen the stars before. It's got to be so wonderful to live in a place that's constantly in motion; sunshine and clouds during summer, rain and storms during fall and spring, and snow in winter... White Christmases

Another Californian, eh? I was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in L.A.... and yeah, I still refer to L.A. as "The Heart of Darkness". Avoid whenever I can.
I lived in Santa Barbara during the Loma Prieta quake, and in San Francisco during the Northridge quake. My poor best friend lived in the epicenter of both quakes. And I totally buy that people reported UFOs in L.A.... when I lived in Yellowstone, the people from L.A. were the ones that asked questions like, "Are they building any new geysers?", "Where is the animals' barn?", "Where do we get to pet a moose?", etc. etc. They were also the ones who typically got killed by the wildlife or the geothermal features, despite the many warning signs.
For me, I desperately miss Portland, OR. No snow, but all the rain and the green, the wonderful forests, the ocean, the mountains, the people, the amazing food... and three months of glorious Mediterranean weather during the summer. Sigh.Β
When I move back, I'll invite you up!

XD "Are they building any new geysers?" That sounds like L.A alright. I work on a horse ranch and I've met people who have never seen a horse before in their lives, even on T.V or the internet. It's kinda scary what living in the city will do to your mind.

Gads. I used to break horses during the summer, in younger years. (Occasionally, they broke me.)
In Yellowstone, we refer to those people as "Tourons" (tourist X moron). Once, a bunch of us wore our gaudiest Hawaiian shirts and Bermuda shorts and drove up to groups of Tourons, taking pictures and pretending they were wildlife... many yuks were had.
