Description
This is my impression drawing of a Chinese soldier during the Second Sino-Japanese war.
There was this video I recently watched on Youtube that showcases the military uniforms used by China since 1911. It greatly sparked my interest because the designs directly mirror the countries that backed the Chinese throughout the century. During the Second Sino-Japanese war, parallel to World War II, the Chinese Nationalist party has a distinctly German appearance, dawning Stahlhelms and brandishing rifles derived from the Gewehr 98. As soon as the Third Reich fell, however, the two Chinese factions drop the German look for the look of their respective backers. Communist Chinese soldiers begin using Soviet gear until the 90s, and the Republic of China begin using American uniforms.
Anyways, I'm getting too lazy to color things. I won't feel productive enough until I go back to school.
