Pretty flower I came across while having a Wednesday wander.**Edited note to add the flower is apparently called a Nigella Flower. You can google image search for it to see others

I believe this is a wonderful shot of a beautiful flower. Using the rule of thirds worked well with the flower being off center. The flower brings your eyes to it instead of sitting in the middle of the screen as so many flower shots are done. The color is very good and the contrast is just a touch soft for me but that is a personal preference. The blues of the flower are quite nice and natural. The only area I might have done differently was to have had the center more in focus and cropped just a little tighter without losing the off center capture. The empty space to the left balances the shot since it is about the same area as the subject but cropping a touch closer removing the flower to the left might make more impact, but that again is personal preference. Overall it is very nice work. I normally bypass flowers since there are so many but this flowers uniqueness, shape, and color make it interesting.
