Description
UPDATE:
- I re-drew the bastard's face again, cba doing the rest
~Antagonist~
BASIC INFORMATION
Full name: The Ringmaster
Nicknames: Sir / Ringmaster / Goofy arse-face
Gender: Male
Species: Incubus
Age: Older than he looks (phsyically in his thirties)
Birthday: 8th October 1767...?
Sexuality: Pan/Polyamerous
Currently lives: The Circus (A pocket dimension located between the 72nd & 73rd dimension)
Languages spoken: Most bipedal languages, but he cannot talk to those that communicate with sounds and body movements rather than fundamental sentences – animals, let’s say. These species require emotive language to communicate, and he’s terrible with compassion and 'bonding' and such.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Height: 6’ 2”
Weight: 57kg (around 70kg outside the circus dimension)
Tattoos/Markings, etc: He has super sharp teeth he keeps flat with magic. See his eyes in the picture. He stays in his humanoid form because it's friendlier than his natural form, and people prefer it.
Preferred style of clothing: Fancy clothes and lots of layers/collars. He likes wearing white because it makes him stand out from The Circus. On earth he wears long coats, hoodies, etc. See my Art Folder.
Frequently worn jewellery/accessories: He has red gloves, which are like a weird satin-silk-leather made from some unknown material. He never takes them off – even when wearing other gloves he wears the red ones underneath. It’s an obsessive thing.
PERSONALITY
Personality: Goofy, narcissistic, incredibly changeable, vicious, and super childish. He can be serious when he wants. He has two acts he 'puts on', which can be summarised as:
- Goofy, obsessive, carefree showman/performer.
- Bitter, obsessive, childish, sickly-sweet serial killer.
He loves being in the spotlight and he loves being loved - admiration and love gives him power, power runs his circus, the circus earns him more love - so on so forth.
Likes: Circuses, swing, affection, Creature, collecting things, blood, visually incredible performers, ‘playing doctor’, singing, whistling, pranks, having overwhelming control over anything and everything, and being a jerk.
Dislikes: Being incorrect, dreams/nightmares, dream-eating species, being denied affection, mathematics, religious cults, being ignored, going two months+ without food, and not getting his way.
Fears/phobias:
- Flying in aeroplanes and other flying vehicles – not being in control of his own flight.
- Religious cults.
- ahahahah
Favourite colour: Red/Black/Pink!
Hobbies: Collecting species to build upon his collection of “Every ‘thing’ in the universe ever, yeah that’s right buddy- even the ugly ones”. He likes experimenting on lesser species with Sprocket to see what he can make. He plays the piano a lot, sometimes with two hands, sometimes with many. He also enjoys going into the Big Top and hosting/hijacking performances with extra death/destruction, putting on wipe-out-like gameshows in the tents, and generallybeing a destructive child in his violent playground.
Talents: Piano, slight-of-hand, mastering magic quickly, incubus magic (puppeteering/possession/hypnotism), performing, amazing impressions/impersonations, singing and dancing.
Skills:
- Natural Incubus Magic: (Can use ethereal strings to move and control people’s bodies like puppets on strings. After forming connections with people over long periods of time he can also completely possess them.)
- Controlling anything he created within his dimension, allowing him to create things from thin-air and manipulate pretty much anything there (air space, anything in it, etc), thusly allowing him to have most of his powers.
- Polymorphing (changing his form into anything he pleases.
- Detailed and intricate magic tricks (ranging from simple ‘human’ magic to sawing people in half with a click of his finger and sewing them together again).
- Eating almost any substance (he can bite through metal – useful when having ‘lunch’ since he tends to eat visitors and performers).
- He’s like a big old’ cartoon character brought into the real world.
- When Creature first went to The Circus, The Ringmaster demonstrated the ability to manipulate The Circus’ space/matter, fabricate objects, create protective barriers of energy, and polymorph/stretch himself like putty.
Describe the character's house/home: COME BACK WHEN I’VE MADE THE CIRCUS’ BIO/JOURNAL. FOR NOW:
- It’s an entire dimension – an unending white void filled with tents, rollercoasters, etc, that can range from being thousands of meters tall to average sized.
- It’s split up into districts, some sections being for Dream-dwellers, Water-dependant species, etc.
- The ground-space is like a carnival mixed with a theme park.
- Things randomly happen that cause people to die. Some of the rides are broken, some lead into feeding areas for the animals, some are perfectly innocent, but nobody doubts The Circus because they’re so enamoured by how amazing it is on the surface.
BACKSTORY:
- The Ringmaster is a powerful incubus who founded The Circus dimension centuries back. He originated on Earth as a colleague of a famous human ringleader. After killing said ringleader and taking over his circus, The Ringmaster somehow magically (long story) stumbled upon a 'pocket dimension' while travelling. He spent a few decades studying and practising all sorts of magic before he found himself able to manipulate the walls of this dimension. Eventually he moved in and built The Circus. It's taken him a couple of centuries to get to this point.
- A keen collector of 'FUN' and all things rare, obscure and deadly, The Circus or ‘his collection’ is made of millions of performers and prisoners trapped together under one big empty sky (and several thousands of massive tents).
Where his personality frequently switches between being a childish, over-enthusiastic goofball to a deadly serious intellect his one goal is simple and unwavering; to collect one of every living species – no matter how dangerous or impossible – and hold them under his roof.
- Sure, the deadly encounters in his Circus often lead to a few thousand of his performers and guests dying each day, but he can get replacements with the click of a finger, right? And being an incubus he draws in and feeds on the unending amount of power from the love and adoration his Circus draws in for him. He’s a big ol’ heap of success.
- He met Creature when she visited The Circus dimension on an errand for Watchmaker. The Circus has a system (which I won’t explain here) that allows it to track any new/unknown species that visit the dimension, and since The Ringmaster didn’t have a ‘creature’ he quickly shifted his attention to her. He likes her, and after a few of what he would call ‘friendly bickers’ (full blown fights and death threats) he’s become obsessed with having her stay in his circus. She doesn’t want to, so… conflict, eyyy.

He is quite difficult to draw in other styles.
I tend to just focus on making sure his nose is kinda' big and his cheeks are chubby, that's about it .

I like it, the different eyes, forms, character in general. Ringmaster is a character i feel like is cute sometimes and then it's "please stay as far as physical possible away!" And that body gore, got me some shivers.

kiter10880 In reply to Corbival [2016-07-16 20:23:14 +0000 UTC]
Mmmhmm! I really like this side of his character. He needs the attention ( needs that love), and i love seeing how you draw so much emotion into him. You make him eating someone alive seem adorable. ( an ability i wish to take)
I can only hope the problems get better.
I don't mind the gore, i like gore some times. But maybe put a warning next time, i think gore counts as mature content.

Hehe, I like it too. c: I made myself an AU a while back where it's set on earth, and he's a really smart murderer who kills people and turns them into puppets/puppet shows in his basement. He kidnaps Trick when in the normal story he takes them to The Circus, and they become his reluctant accomplice. In that AU he's basically 100% serious, calm, tricky Ringmaster so I have loads of fun - he's so fun to mess around with when he's serious and scary c':
(I honestly don't know how to help you with the whole adorable eating people thing - it just happened ^_^")
Hahaha- I hope so too! Trick needs a bit of a break from his topsy-turvy nature...
I wasn't too sure whether I should have marked it as mature or not - I know gore counts, but I don't think there's a limit on how much gore you can include without the mature marker. I think most of my watchers are fine with a little gore, so I might only mark it as mature if I get anyone who's nauseous around gore...

Oooh, really now? Dude, not goin lie but that AU sounds right up my alley. Murder mystery with a man who doesn't look the part. A man who waters the plants and helps people across the road. A man wanting someone to enjoy the fun with and then comes Trick. A man who enjoys watching the people of the town fear the unknown kidnapping and the one body he left for them to find. A man with a reach of smiles that go to "trust me" to "you just fucked up" and my favorite, "relax, i promise it won't hurt, much". Like dude, that's sounds crazy good.
( i feel like it shouldn't be adorable, i mean he is eating someone, sometimes they're still alive. But it's cool, i'm just twisted.)
I think anyone would need a break from Ringmaster, seems like the type to have way too much energy.
I don't think it was to much gore, i just didn't want ya getting flagged or written up for something like that. You got it down tho, your watchers seem pretty cool.

Corbival In reply to kiter10880 [2016-07-19 22:00:39 +0000 UTC]
You know what, you got that AU down 100% correct - perfect! He's all normal and the definition of the perfect civilian on the surface, but inside his house his smiles become twisted and lathered with malicious intent. (:< And every few week Creature (who is a private/freelance detective in this AU) knocks on his door or does something to try and out him, since she has a gut feeling he's the killer he is!
He sits and watches the cases he starts on TV, smiling to himself while Trick just sits silently on the sofa wishing for a better life. :')
(I think it can be pretty adorable... regarding. Especially if I ship him with the person he's eating. Omnomnom)
He definitely, definitely has too much energy. Wayyyyy too much.
Yeah, I get you. It's alright though - some people draw worse on here without being flagged! It's random luck methinks..

Oh snap, really?! We've got to stop talking about it. I'm starting to think to much into it. And get out of my head, I was totally thinking about McCreature, private eye. Watchmaker, her roommate, not wanting her to work on that case cause it's too dangerous. Maybe pain was a good teacher and that's how Trick killed their first person or maybe... I need to stop! (besides, trick to pure to kill)
( shipping and then he eats them, just rip my heart out now. Cause now i'm thinking vampire!ringmaster x whoever he is feeding off of and x3)
That explains the soad thing. And coffee. Or most things containing sugar.
Oh i get ya there. There are somethings that really do need a warning but don't. You've got good luck then.

Yeah, pretty much! I was gonna' make a journal some time soon explaining a bunch of AU's I have, but I see you pretty much have that one down without it! :'D And that is how Watchy works, yes - and Trick may or may not become a little more than involved in some of The Ringmaster's killings after a few months, too; pain and conditioning can do that to even the most pure of souls :'0 Hehehehe, you're good at this dear - you keep hitting the nail on the head!
(Heheh, that's why he can't keep up a 'partner' - he just ends up eating anyone he loves, be it deliberately or accidentally! Silly incubus... c': )
Yeppedy yeppedy! I can't imagine what he'd be like with coffee...

Oh i'd like to see the AUs you've come up with. Yeah, i love murder mysteries and when you told me that idea, i just had to run with it. No! Trick, my son, little bean! I was kinda hoping i was wrong, but I secretly love that idea.
(oh that sound nice. Would ya think about it, it could be a very bad way of showing love. Silly incubus..(,: )
Explosions, more so than usually. And an explosion of colors and just madness. (more so than usually)

Oh, are we finally getting a bio for Alistair and Francois? I'd love to get to know more about their characters! Murder mystery silly cliches? Like the you know who the killer is but the characters don't? Or the murderer right under your nose? But cliches are equal parts entertaining and frustrating. I thought I was running too far with it but if it could be a thing then i'd read the hell out of it.
( brother needs a chill pill. Eating people, dead or alive, isn't really nice.)
Oh yes, and even more explosions, thank you. So no coffee, ever.
