Awesome, I absolutely love Brisingr and Arvindor's guard is incredible. You can really see the character of each Rider in these. Great job.

The light blue is Undbitr, Brom's sword. Its known to be blue, but a different colour from Eragon's, so I made it lighter to be able to distinguish between them. Green is Tamerlein, which is seen briefly in Brisingr (the book) before Brisingr (the sword) was made... currently owned by Lord Fiolr. Purple is Arvindr, the other sword mentioned that is still owned by the elves, but didn't have any description.. So I just made it up thinking purple was a cool colour and it had a rooty nature look on the hilt for an elvish rider.

Um, can't remember where exactly, it was just a discussion thread, maybe search Arvindr on the forum and you'll find something

...wasn't 'Brisingr' a plain sword, as far as not having a coloured blade?

no it was different hues of blues. Take a gander at the discription of the blade again.

No problem, and if Rhonon-elda saw you call her swords plain, she'd whoop you into the previous century. No way in hell are riders blades plain...especially Brisingr, it catches on fire for crimeny sakes!

As i recall she was as shocked as any other to see that particular part. Though I wonder if it's not due to Eragon's hands being those that forged it, and his mouth the one to sing it, his magic that which wove it. If it is because of that (as that particular trait of the sword was only activated by eragon), then perhaps if other riders forged their own blades, they might share similar properties, unique to both sword, rider and dragon. Or perhaps I ramble...

well, Rhonon also said its poossible Brisingr is the swords true name, but thats a possibility. Well I guess thats another thing for book four.

*ahem* Well yes... but I did my initial rough ups looking at some of the 'official' artwork, which was a bit of a mistake, but I kind of ran with the style...
