You'd think with a kick that well executed would be a black belt

She can go through the motions of more complicated moves, but there are a lot of relatively basic things she has to work on like... breathing.

I can honestly say I know nothing about Kenichi, but if you recommend it, I'll check it out. I need something new to read and maybe a little inspiration.

I think deadlines push us to crank out some amazing stuff on short notice

I found myself kind of enjoying this deadline, in a masochistic kind of way. I know if I hadn't had the deadline, it would have taking longer to come up with something this decent. Still, I'd like to go back and polish this up, just a little bit. I look at it today and see all sorts of problems. It was a good exercise though. I need to get way faster and not nitpick the little details if I ever want to get anywhere on my book.

Quick deadlines push the procrastination down to a minimum and just get the brain juices flowing on overtime to grind out the best ideas possible and use more critical thinking to make decisions on your feet.

I end up talking to myself a lot. Verbal directions to myself give me focus. And the videogame music helps. When I hear some Megaman music, I get this intense, but really positive vibe. Conditioning from my youth, I suppose. I doubt I could do it every day.

Megaman music does the same for me dude. ESPECIALLY THIS JAM: [link]
I know what you mean. I could do finished works probably all week long, but I'd be so tired. I feel like I need a recharge after I finish a big piece, so I generally just relax and do speedpaints.

albums free for download. There should be a link for it underneath the videos. They're a group that just does videogame remixes and stuff and share for the love of videogames

Yup. Taekwondo, Judo, Boxing and Wrestling are olympic sports and that is all I could find for martial arts in the Olympics. There is a push for mixed martial arts, but I think it'll be quite a few years before we see that. Thanks!

Looks legit to me, and it being your own CHARACTER you're aloud to change minor details as you see fit!! Good job I like it, gets me in the mood to draw my two Martial arts inspired characters; Kyo and Mai.

Based off a real kick. I most likely fudged the positioning of the right arm and some may argue with me about the fingers being held like that, but it's been a long time since my Taekwondo classes. Still, appropriate for the character. Gwen has trained to keep her arms in guard position for so long, I doubt she could drop them.
