I really didn't go into to this planning on doing any Bebop fanart, but it ended up being some.- I just started sketching out a pose and it just really reminded me of Bebop, so I decided to go ahead and make it Spike . . . that and they just finished airing the series on Adult Swim so it made sense
This is not for a put Spike in the most gay pose you can contest . . . although, if it were, it could probably win XD
This pic actually went really quick, about 1½ hours from sketch to finish. Which is why the lines are all sketchy >__>

Lol I'd say the pose is more awkward than gay... but yes, the pose definately suits Cowboy Bebop. It kinda reminds me of a position you might see Spike in during the opening sequence of the show... or maybe I'm just a tad insane. xD

I don't think this pose looks really gay. In fact, it looks like something he might do in the series during a battle. XD That was one of the first things I noticed and loved about that series--how fluently his body moved in hand-to-hand combat (particularly the first episode).
And sketchy lines? Pray tell, what sketchy lines do you speak of? I just wish my final line art were as clean/smooth as your "sketchy lines".

LOL . . . a lot of the sketchy lines disappeared in the colors and shadows. If you saw the "lineart" only you would see how sketchy it is.
- And yes, the fight in the first episode, when he has that sombrero on is really awesome.

I always wanted to. Only one channel aired it here, a few times, and it was almost the only channel that never reached my home town. I only watched a few episodes, while visiting my grandparent's house (they live in the capital city). I always loved the style, the character design...and that awesome opening. I own a few specials and some movie trailers, and some really cool Kanno's songs *hugs them*. I guess that I'll watch it once I start the summer break (only one month far *breathes*)....I shall sacrifice some bleach....

Someone may have already said this, but considering I don't have a lot of time to read the other comments, I'll go ahead and say it! lol. This looks super awesome, and not tooooo gay. But the bent leg is WAY longer than the other. talk about limping! I think that if you fixed that it'd be perfect!

You are right . . . and you always point things like this out to me. I have the problem of starting out things thinking I will make more exaggerated perspective, but then I move on to other areas and don't do the same things so it just ends up looking off. So yeah, I shall have to try and work on that for sure XD. Thank you

Awesome job on this; the pose is kinda reminiscent of parts in the intro, where it looks like he's fallin down. This would make a great wall scroll; I'd put it up next to my other Spike wall scroll for sure! BeBop is one of my top fav anime series, along w/ some of my friends as well. One even got a Corgi puppy recently & named him Ein! ^_^ I'll have to get pics of Ein when I get to see my friend next time.
