Description
After seeing the Sonic movie from two years ago, and then seeing the cool-looking trailer for the next one, I've been in a Sonic mood lately. I decided to revisit the Sonic SatAM cartoon from the '90s, and it's still as good as I remembered.The show was fun and exciting, but also had a dark tone that gave it some weight and drama. Robotnik controlled the world and was a very menacing figure, and being roboticized was a real threat to the characters. Throughout the series, they were fighting for freedom and going on secret missions. The freedom fighter characters were all really cool.
The show also had one of my favorite fictional couples: Sonic and Sally. Despite being portrayed in a kids show, they were allowed to express their feelings and support for each other; they also made a believable team as they worked to defeat Robotnik.
