i gave her those orange flowersshe gently pulled them up to her wonderful face
and the swirling scent hit her like a cold ocean wave
I silently stood there and watched her evanescent body sway
away into thick darkness
what darkness i say?
for today is the day
not the night
not the time when the sun goes away
it was magic
for she brought the night to my last luminous day
I gave her the flowers and faded away
