Coloring was made to look similar to Sonic OVA and SatAM because of the similarities in media. Oddly, most modern anime and cartoons simply have shading on their characters and not highlights, done in the essence of time and budget, yet Sonic X style has highlights as well. I suppose it's because Sonic characters are far simpler, and quicker, to shade and highlight.
Meh...you get the idea, I'm really tired....

And in sonic colors he has the same aditude just a different voice when he said "Who you callin nothin?"

Well, these are more so based on where the characters ended, and not where they started. Jason Griffith himself said that he tried to have Sonic sound "cooler," and more mellow as time went on, the best example of this is in Unleashed when he talks so casually about the whole Werehog thing with Chip. Also, *Aerobian-Angel took into consideration the tone of the actor's voices as well, and really these are his take on the characters that I just happen to agree with. ^^
