~A fan art of my beloved Kashiyuka from Perfume~Well it was suppose to be her but to me it just looks like some random Asian girl with a similar hairstyle...
P.S. If you can't see any details in the hair, try tilting your computer screen...sorry..
P.S.S. Whoa, I just noticed this so it's just a coincidence, but her pose is very similar to 's something like an astronomer Just had to say that<3
Need tips on facial features, specifically the lips, cause I think I should have removed some of the lineart and added more "lips".Shading also, I need to learn how to create the..uh...uhm..the thing that comes from her nose to the sides of her mouth when she smiles?Look at a photo of someone smiling, you'll know what I mean~ Anyways, every time I try to make it it ends up looking like wrinkles and she'll look really old.. OTL
And the finger nails, should I have darkened that area or is it fine the way it is?
Oh and does the hand look correct? I'm quite proud of the hand actually, probably one of the best I've drawn..

Hm..suggestions? (: I'm still progressing myself as an artist so I don't know if you should really listen to any of the following..but maybe next time you could make the highlights a little more noticeable (but not obtrusively so). xD I had to tilt my screen a bit to notice that there were indeed highlights (and very pretty ones at that).
The hand is AMAZINGLY drawn
As for her lips, they're so pretty, but a little too pale, I think. Add a bit of color to them.. perhaps a soft pink or something? ^__^ Enough to make them stand out, but not snag a person's attention from the rest of the picture.
Hm, last I'd like to say that I like the background. The complementary colors to her green band are nice.

to be honest there is no real constructive criticism I can give on this one, it seems perfec tthe way it is! the hand is reeeaally good and I see no real issue with the facial features. Ithe only thing I'd say is try to put highlights in the hair and shade the skin a little bit more as they seem a bit 'flat' compared to the rest of the image.

wow i rly wish i could draw hands like that! hands is were I falter the most! it a rly good picture, i like it!!
the only thing is the hair could be a little more detailed. you rly can't see the highlights unless you look closly. but thats only a minor prob.

The hand looks correct to me and I love the coloring. I wish I could help you with shading but I'm a photographer not a drawer. But over all a great picture

for the lips~ it looks very cute to me XD maybe try with more draker color?
as for the lines~ it think it's ok not to draw them ^^ unless you want to try realistic style ^^ not animeish~ for realistic i think usually people not draw the lines but made it from different shading~
and for me the hand is the best part of this drawing XD you made them so well~ you should teach me sometime ^O^/

Lol Well I was trying to go for a realistic anime look and I know what you're saying, but that's the thing, I couldn't figure out how to shade it right... >w<
Haha The only thing I can say to you there is look at real people. That's what I did, I just posed my hand like that and drew. Anime anatomy is basically the same as real anatomy save for the head~
So whenever you have the time, look at friends or families for reference, just don't get caught staring though~

Not everyone has those lines on their faces. Don't feel obligated to use/make them.
Her lips are cute however I personally would have made the color of her lips a little bit darker since by the shading it looks like she's wearing lipgloss anyway. Her hand looks lovely, actually, as its well in proportion to her face.
I've never been good at critiquing eyes but they look good anyway. The only thing odd is I think her shoulders are a little too small, but perhaps that illusion is because you didn't really shade the hair on her right side to show that her hair is over her shoulder.
Speaking of hair, as lovely as your current shading is, I think it might be better if you add some very very light almost white to it, to show a 'halo' shading. That 'halo' is apparent in a lot of anime and actual pictures of people. Think of it like a small line from a hat but its of the light source's reflection on healthy hair!

Yeah this was one of the very few times I sorta attempted a realistic anime style so I wasn't sure to had that 'halo' or not.

I'm no expert with digital drawings or paintings, but I would say that you could spend time adding more tones to the skin, especially in the face. Experiment using deeper skin tones for shadowing or the opposite for highlights, the face is looking a little flat. But be careful not to highlight the features such as the cheekbones or jawline too much, the female face is generally very soft and slightly plump with less harsh outlines. And make sure if you're going to add in wrinkles, dimples, lines or creases that there's aren't too defined either, this could make your character/subject look a lot older than intended! Hope this helps :]

Are you trying to make it look realistic or more animeish?
If you want to make it more animeish i think the lips look very good,
you could maybe make the upper lip little bigger.

She's adorable!
I think you did well with her lips. They look softer like this. You don't need to add the "smile lines" Her style is more anime-like and the expression is conveyed by the mouth. I know what you mean about the lines seeming like wrinkles. If you want to add volume to her cheeks, you could add a small highlight or maybe better, a blush.
The hand and the fingernail look perfect. You can add a small stroke of white to the tip of her fingernail, if you want. Or a defined highlight to make her seem to have shiny nail polish.

Yeah, this is one of the few times that I've tried a sorta realistic anime style, so I'm still learning on what features I should leave in or keep out. I kinda wanted to give her a more natural look, but I don't know much about make up, so iunno, I'll give it a try~

I think Your hand is THE BEST part in Ur atr
About the lips, my only critique is remove the lips color upper her lips. I think that is not necessary ^^
The shadow color too soft IMO. maybe make it darker will be make the shade better
