I don't understand...what is the difference between a 'scene kid' and an 'emo'?

Kind of. I think it was just a bit different 'back in the day'. In my youth, you were either a mosher/goth, skater, or a chav!
I was a skater myself(still am at 27) and love metal, rock etc but I could not stand the people who were 'metalers' calling me because I am into dance music, drum and bass, jazz, hip hop etc. The basicaly said I should not listen to any of this kind of music if I wanted to call myself a 'metaler" (which I never did. I just called myself a 'Loz' because thats who I am)
It funny how these people who say 'Don't judge me 'cus I have long hair and wear black clothing! I'm an individual!" have exactly the same narrow minded views of the chavs and trendy kids! They don't want you to be part of their group if your not into the same things as them, which I just found ridiculous and stopped me going to a lot of the rock and metal bars in my area.
The only thing now is that drum and bass has become 'cool' and all the skater are listening to it and loving it. It's not drum and bass! It's jumped up radio friendly drum and bass that is meant to appeal to everyone. The kids these days have no concept of what drum and bass is or how it started. But of course it is upto people to listen to what they wont but I'll always try and people on to what I think is drum and bass.
Well, thanks for listening to my rant and for clearing up all the confusion of Emo kids and Scene Kids. Maybe you could help me out though. Take a look my original character Poppy. Would you say she is Emo, or Scene Kid as I still have not decided, probably scene kid 'cus I never think of her as being depressed. [link]
Thanks for your time hun, keep up the work in your gallery
