here I used simple round brush and some brushes that I created (with some effect of real brush edges). also I used SAI and its standard tools to created this picture. you can see it on his hair. and at bg I used photo of some my "traditional" work (paper and ink)

thanks. the brushes you made are great I really get the feeling like you made this deawing with traditional mediums, pastels and watercolors. and the texture is awesome.

глаз и вправду не на месте. для меня вечная проблема правильно разместить части лица относительно друг-друга ^^'

Зеркалить не пробовала? Обычно помогает избежать больших косяков)
