If you haven't heard; Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata, had passed away on July 11th of 2015.Reasons and information found here.

I am not sure if the notification of death was posted today, or yesterday. But many friends of mine had notified me about Iwata's death today. It's sad to see Nintendo's president die from cancer in the bile duct. Yet another victim of cancer. I give my condolences to his family members and friends. Including staff of Nintendo Co., Ltd.
I decided to make this for Iwata's death today. He will be deeply missed in our hearts.
The flower Mario is holding is a camellia, I was reading about it symbolizing gratitude. A "Thank you for everything".
Mario is representing Nintendo as a whole, not just series.
May you rest in peace Iwata.

I guess since it’s been a few years since I last said anything on the subject better go back to the source of it my childhood was different I had and still do have high functioning autism I use to be so angry when I couldn’t beat a puzzle game (yes I used rage at Tetris and still do) but when I play super Mario world or Mario 64 I always won it made me feel so awesome now I look at super Mario odyssey and think (this could have been better if he was still around) but come to realize the past two years has been a changing point we lost the godfather of gaming in 2014 then Iwata shortly afterwards the world of gaming will never be the same let’s hope it for the better of the next generation of gamers
if it wasn’t for Iwata I never would have thought of making my own books series then turn around and make it into a anime and video game
