Just something I wanted to make with Kirami ^^ She cannot fly, and doesn't actually have wings, and at best she can hover a short distance off the ground. She'll keep dreaming of it though...

I've been in a real funk lately, especially in the last year or two, frustrated with my art. Never feeling like i'm anywhere near where I want to be. It's hard for me to retain information when I study, I get distracted and too depressed to draw, my motivation is shot entirely by my dread of having to work with my hands sometimes. But, I've been trying to break free of that. Making myself experiment more, letting loose, trying new things, and most importantly, *truly* drawing just to have fun again. Art is my job, and I've been putting so much thought into "I need to make this appealing so it will sell so I can afford to eat and pay rent" that I forget to actually enjoy it. I force myself on a linear path of what I NEED to draw and offer to others while ignoring the glaring issue that looms over me; that I'm making art miserable by forgetting why I started in the first place.
Slowly, overtime, I shall overcome this. I know it. I'll keep dreaming of having fun, and the rest will fall into place as it will... I have faith in this.
