This is a commission from CrystalMoonlightIII for a promotional piece of his original fantasy story Violet Tear .

The plot revolves around Karita, a young shadow mage from the desert kingdom of Parsaan, and Sirus, an Acoylte of the water goddess Eloria. Together, they're trying to journey across the central land of Rena before it's too late.

I've read all four parts he has posted right now, and it's a beautifully written story so far, I'd really encourage a read of it.

Violet Tear - Part I (Bells of Fate)
Tonight was the last opportunity Sirus had to enjoy the peace and quiet before life on the road began anew. A new day brought a new job. Last month? Protect a shipment of wine through the woods toward Salna. Thankfully, this next task felt far less mundane than the last. Protect a band of travelling merchants until they reached the forest kingdom of Lionvale.
Not to mention the handful of small mercies attached to the job. A chance to visit Lionvale again brought with it the deal sweetener of slipping by Mysidia if he so wished it. Stopping in the small forest town always had… plus points.
"Maybe I'll drop by the Old Mare and see if Amiko's still there. Never forgot the time we spent together. Strange how one night can leave you thinking about a lass for years… or maybe it's just Amiko. There's only one other girl that pulls on my heart like her."
