Scrawlrbox - December 2018 - Pastel Petals

Not much to say about this one, but I'm super happy with how it came out and it is one of my top favorite scrawlrbox pieces! Originally I was going to take advantage of the friction erase to make the background flowers, but it was kind of hard to control so I opted just to use the silver paint pen.

What I thought about the stuff:

Pilot Frixion Ball Pen - Erasable pens - I haven't seen these since high school! Unfortunately the cap fell off during shipment and I had to revive it before I could really use it. It works but it's not a totally clean erase. The temptation is to draw and then erase right away but if you do that then it doesn't work very well; you have to come back to it after it dries. Still sort of an amusing novelty
Pilot Frixion Light Soft Erasable Highlighter - These were pretty streaky; I could not tell if they were also dried out or if they are just like that. The pastel colors are very pretty! I'm glad these scanned fairly well, since regular neon highlighters don't. The info card says they take a longer time to dry so you can layer them or make gradients, buttt if you try to layer when wet they make kind of a smeary mess, but if you try it when dry the nibs get kind of gummed up.
Sharpie Fine/Ultra Fine Permanent Marker - Apparently its been a while since I had a brand new sharpie because these seemed super juicy?? Definitely underestimated how much ink was going to come out a couple times.
Pentel Paint Marker Extra Fine Point - It worked really well! I thought it was really nice. The point is about the same as the ultra fine sharpie. Paint flowed super smooth and it dried fast
