Khe | The name of one of Lyka's favorite illusions to conjure - a seahorse. Though not necessarily "real", he treats the creature like a pet. A bit of company, really.

Smoking Pipe (not pictured) | An ornate pipe made of polished cherrywood and silver. Lyka won this off a bet a customer made during one of his readings. One of his more prized possessions, he uses it frequently.

Tarot Cards (not pictured) | A deck of decorated, but rather worn cards. Lyka's choice method of fortune telling.

Illusionist | Able to conjure minor illusions by refracting light through mist. Works better after rain. Easily dispelled on contact. Triggered by Water Manipulation (below).

Water Manipulation | Basic ability limited to pull small amounts of water from the environment and move it around. Lyka uses this to conjure and move streams/patches of moisture to form a cloud of fog or mist in an area. Used to create his illusions.

Throwing Cards | Thin-bladed knives shaped so they resemble cards. Watch it - they're sharp.

Passive in nature, Lyka is the type who likes to wait for people to come to him rather than going to them himself - it makes him feel empowered and important, as if people personally search him out to consult his "skill" - well, at least in his own little fantasy. While he is rather grounded in terms of attitude and difficult to throw into an absolute frenzy, Lyka is playful and never really "solid" with the meaning of his words, twisting what he hears and what he speaks into what he considers his own sense of "humor". As a result, he will sometimes seem nonsensical when he is speaking his thoughts, something that increases in fervor the more he smokes and even more so when Lyka is reading fortunes. As a result, it's hard to tell if he's lying or just heavily intoxicated when he is interacting with others in this state; sometimes it's just safe to assume both. Lyka is extremely protective of the things he finds and receives from his clients, forever hoarding objects even if others may consider them cumbersome or useless. He can become quite malicious if his collection is threatened whether you meant to offend him or not, so watch your step if you happen to come across his things.

◊ History:

Lyka was the last child of three, born into a family with no father and a fragile mother with a severe penchant for gambling. It was difficult, living in poverty with an irresponsible parent, and so his siblings left home once they came of age to try their own luck in the world. Lyka, still very young at this time, was forced to stay with his mother and her reckless habits until she gambled away almost everything she owned, including the little she had left to support her son. It was shortly after this did she begin indulging heavily in cheap spirits and alcohol, becoming increasingly violent and paranoid as time went on, sinking her knees deeper and deeper into debt. At last, in a miserable attempt to remover her son from the equation and save her own neck, she cast Lyka into the ocean before fleeing crazed into the slums, shot down shortly after by a hungry thief. The boy was fished up by a passing ship the next morning by a trading crew, and there he was raised until he too became old enough to travel on his own. Within these years, Lyka grew..."strange", as the crew liked to put it, permanently detached from reality in that head of his, living his life with no real goal or purpose. Bored of life on the ship but with nowhere to really go, Lyka packed the little he had and set out to become a wandering "merchant" of sorts, selling his craft where ever he managed to drift - at least within the bounds of Avaritia.

Lyka's a bit of a kleptomaniac, which sort of explains the forever growing size of his collection. Watch your pockets.

Very picky eater. As a result, Lyka is very wiry in form. Not exactly built for heavy physical combat, you see.

His "frills" can change color slightly based on how he's feeling. It's not too obvious though - otherwise he would always give himself away when it came to bets. They also can also spike up more when he's excited or aggravated, as well as flatten down when he is relaxed (though not completely). Like a normal seahorse, his tail can also curl up and extend to grab onto things if needed. He likes to keep it in a swirl though.
