Description
I had originally conceived of this map as having an inset frame of the German states because it would be impossible to show them properly. However, to show in the enough detail so that you wouldn't need a magnifying glass for the text.Related content

If I recall correctly the Ottomans called Constantinople, Constantinople. The name Istanbul comes from the republican period. (Or I'm terribly wrong, ether way awesome map)
