Description
this is kind of a revisited work of sorts. Love the idea of taking African art and clashing it against digital backgrounds and textures. The mask and figure in the foreground were handdrawn,scanned and then touched up. Background was handdrawn as well, but most of the colors etc were done on the computer.Related content

I like the idea a great amount. Might I suggest for stronger contrast between the two ways of life that you make the African art smooth. If you don't want me to bother you about how I feel that it might be improved please disregard this and tell me so

You make a good point. I am still developing the concept. That is why I have yet to submit the others. Don't worry. Suggesting something is always helpful. I wish I had that kind of feedback a year ago when I was begging for it. All I got was the whole nice etc. I take constructive critisicm very well

Feedback is what helps you grow as an artist. When I was in highschool, my art teacher would spend about 5 minutes on what he liked, and the rest of class time telling you how to develop a piece. I used to resent it, until after I graduated. Had a friend who said she was sick and tired about hearing him go on and on about how no one took art as seriously as me and my counterpart. Then I realized he was doing what a teacher should, mentoring.

It is funny though. When I was submitting stuff before I was as skilled with art as I am now, people were looking at my stuff all the time. Now that I have some of the best work I have ever done, not nearly as many views. If I put Jesus in an image though, it always gets mass appeal no matter how good the work is. Notthat it is about mass appeal or anything. Just one of those funny things. I realize, I operate on the fringe of culture, and I'm more than happy with that
